Congratulations on making the jump to get your Oregon Supervising Electrical License!
The decision to get the Oregon Supervising Electrical License is a commitment to your future success and will open many doors for your career. It is best to be as prepared as possible for this career changing event. We suggest clearing your schedule for the two-week window of in-person class instruction to fully embrace the training that you are about to begin. It is easy to push life to the margins for two weeks; after that, you will be forced to deal with life as it happens. Evening weekday classes and Saturdays allow for a relatively normal week.
The instruction is only one part of the training. Understanding and being fluent with the calculations is the most important piece. Getting ready to be the next Supervising Electrician for Oregon is a commitment that is not to be taken lightly. You have worked for years to be confident enough to tackle this training. Get ready to lead, get ready to answer “technical” questions, and now get ready for the toughest test you will ever take.
Your instructor, Shawn Haggin, is available to answer calls, texts, or emails between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm every day except Fridays. There is no limit to asking questions; it is better to ask a question immediately rather than batch them. This will let you master the method/calculation and move on to the next lesson. Also, please tell Shawn what size t-shirt you wear when you start the course.
The Supervisor Test Prep Course has the option to add the instructional videos accessed through YouTube. This optional training tool will allow you to review the live instruction concepts multiple times on video without restrictive viewing constraints. This course is approved for CEU in Oregon (24 hours) and Washington (36 hours).
